The restaurant’s atmosphere blends a casual, small-town bar vibe with occasional live music, creating a lively but sometimes noisy environment. Service experiences vary, with many noting friendly and personable staff, though occasional inconsistencies have been mentioned. The overall ambiance is warm and welcoming, often highlighted for its military-friendly attitude and genuine hospitality. While the interior shows signs of wear, the combination of quality food and approachable service keeps patrons returning, making George's Pizza a favored local spot in High Point, NC.
My husband and I went here on a Saturday night. Not super busy. Food was amazing and service was too. Some of the best pizza and boneless wings we have ever had… will be back for sure!
People said best burger, and I wanted to try. It was great. Grilled flavor, cooked to order, just enough bread to hold it and the condiments (lettuce, mustard and pickles for me). Every bite, I could taste hamburger. It was way bigger than my appetite and I should have cut it half for later.
The wings are not the best I've had but they are okay. Just naked and seasoning sprinkled on top. The pizza had a good ratio of toppings to crust. The crust was very unique in flavor and texture. The live music was good, but the noise level was not favorable.
The way to think about George’s is that it is a bar first and a restaurant second. The service can be up and down some. The kitchen might have a bad night sometimes. The interior is definitely well worn. But the food? When it’s good. It’s good. They have some of the best wings in High Point. Always cooked to perfection. I could just go here for wings and be perfectly happy. Loaded tater tots are amazing. Regular ones great as well. The burger is large and has a great fresh taste. Cooked to order. Portion sizes are large. You won’t leave hungry. Last time I was here everything was A OK and I plan to return soon.
Went in around 130pm on a Tuesday on a road trip back to fort bragg, the owner and waitress were amazing making small talk and being genuinely nice, the food was even better, the pizza was cooked perfectly and the fries were seasoned to perfection. Small town atmosphere great food great employees military friendly.
If you have never had pizza from George’s, you are missing it! We’ve been coming here approximately 8 to 10 years and it was an accidental happening. Tonight Paris took great care of us. So go on in and give George’s Pizza a try.
